1. Introduction
Vinly, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates withvinly.com and the Vinly application (collectively, the "Service"). Vinly is an AI-powered personal relationship manager built for founders and business-development professionals. Our core function is to help you keep your professional network warm: we surface contacts who need your attention based on your relationship history and generate outreach drafts for you to review and send. We do not auto-send messages on your behalf.
Because Vinly processes your personal contact data and relationship notes, we take privacy seriously. This Policy explains exactly what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to all data collected through the Service and through direct communications with us.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Contact and Relationship Data You Import
The Service's core feature depends on contact data you choose to bring in. This includes:
- Contact records (names, email addresses, phone numbers, roles, employers) imported from Google Contacts, Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn profile context, HubSpot, or Salesforce;
- Relationship notes you write inside the app (context about how you know someone, conversation notes, follow-up reminders);
- Interaction history used to calculate relationship health scores (dates of last contact, communication frequency, interaction depth signals).
This data is yours. The Company processes it solely to power Vinly's reminders, health scoring, and outreach-draft generation for your account. We do not use your contact data to build profiles of the individuals you manage, share it with third parties for advertising, or sell it.
2.2 Information You Provide Directly
We also collect information you submit when creating an account or contacting us:
- Account registration details (name, email address, password);
- Subscription and billing details (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers);
- Support or inquiry messages you send to [email protected].
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit withvinly.com or use the Service, we automatically collect limited technical information:
- IP address and approximate location (city/region level);
- Browser type, operating system, device class;
- Pages visited, referring URLs, time on page;
- Cookie and similar identifiers (see Section 5 and our Cookie Policy).
2.4 AI Drafts and Usage Data
When you request an outreach draft, the Service uses the relationship context you have stored (contact history, your notes, tone signals) to generate a suggested message. The draft is surfaced to you for review; you decide whether to use, edit, or discard it. We retain draft generation logs to improve system reliability and detect errors. We do not use the content of your drafts or your contact data to train AI models without your explicit written consent.
2.5 Children's Data
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Vinly Service, including generating relationship health scores, surfacing reminders, and creating outreach drafts;
- Maintain and sync your contact and relationship data across the platforms you connect;
- Send service notifications, account updates, and (with your consent where required) product news;
- Respond to support inquiries and feature requests;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access;
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information for monetary value. Where applicable state law treats certain advertising arrangements as a "sale" or "share," see your state's section below.
4. Sharing of Information
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf under contractual confidentiality terms, including cloud hosting, email delivery infrastructure, and anonymized analytics;
- Integration platforms you explicitly authorize (Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, HubSpot, Salesforce) where the data transfer is a direct result of your account connection;
- Legal authorities when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Company or others;
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and measure usage. Vinly uses a notice-only consent model for US visitors: analytics may activate by default, but you can opt out at any time via the cookie banner or by configuring your browser. 6. Data Retention
We retain your account and relationship data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we remove your contact data, relationship notes, and associated records within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or accounting obligations. Marketing-list contacts who do not engage are purged after 24 months. Server access logs are retained 90 days, then aggregated and anonymized.
7. Security
Because Vinly stores personal network data on your behalf, we apply layered security controls: TLS encryption for all data in transit, encrypted storage for contact records and relationship notes, restricted-access databases with least-privilege access controls, and regular access reviews. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute protection against all threats.
8. Your General Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with a description of your request and enough detail for us to verify your identity. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
9. Illinois Residents
Illinois does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute. As a matter of policy, the Company extends the following baseline rights to all U.S. residents regardless of state of residence.
9.1 Baseline Rights
- Right to Know: request the categories of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete: request deletion of personal information you have provided, including imported contact data and relationship notes.
- Right to Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt Out of Marketing: unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any marketing message or by emailing us.
9.2 How to Exercise
Email [email protected] with a description of your request and enough detail for us to verify your identity. We respond within 45 days.
9.3 Sector-Specific Rights
If you are protected by federal sector laws (such as GLBA for financial-services professionals), those laws may give you additional rights with respect to data covered by them.
9.4 California Visitors
If you are a California resident, you may also exercise the rights granted under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. The Company does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, a notice in the Service.
